Master's Student

Radu Diaconescu

Radu is a Master’s student in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics at the University of Göttingen. He joined SynoSys in early 2026 for his thesis project on modelling disease spread through the worldwide air transportation network. He has an interdisciplinary background at the crossroads of biology, technology and philosophy, and has previously worked as a research assistant in bioinformatics and in biomedical engineering. He is fascinated with the ways that complexity science can offer us a richer understanding of the intricate relationships underpinning our natural world.
